JUST FAIR- A fair for the special children of Our society.

In keeping with the mission of our founder Blessed Br. Edmund Rice, St.Johns organised today a unique event-JUST FAIR…a fair for the special children. The aim behind the event is to empathise with the children from the margins who are deprived of the happiness and opportunities they deserve. This fair was especially for the mentally, visually and audio impaired children . They came from Bapu Dham colony, GRIID sector 31, the School for the Blind, and the NGO’s Hamari Kaksha,  Nanhi Jaan, Sadhana and Donbosco, with whom the young Johnians work as a part of their community service. Students of Govt schools of sector 26 and 8 were also invited. Every student was given an identity card specially made for the occassion. The children and staff members enjoyed playing different games like Memory game, Building Blocks, Roll the Dice, Lucky Dip etc. Of note was that each and every game was value based! A variety of food stalls were also set up especially with food prepared by our boys. Everything was absolutely free of cost with the aim of bringing a smile on every child’s face.
It was an important day for St.Johns family as all Christian Brother schools throughout India had organised this fair in the country. A day to spread happiness everywhere and filling hearts with joy.
Principal Mrs. Kavita .C. Das motivated the students and staff to organise the fair. St.Johns truly believes in-“It is more blessed to give than receive.
