Students are asked to safeguard themselves from extreme cold weather
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry &
Dairying, and In-Charge of the Pet Animal Medical Centre, Sector 3, Panchkula.
Dr. Jadon is a highly experienced veterinary professional dedicated to animal health and
welfare. Today, he is here to guide and enlighten us about the important do’s and don’ts in
case of a dog bite, helping them stay safe, informed and responsible around animals. Teach
children not to provoke dogs, no pulling tail/ears, shouting, or running suddenly. Rabies is
100% preventable with timely vaccination but fatal if ignored
The students spoke about precautions to be taken during the cold weather conditions
through the P.A. System-
We should wear multiple warm layers, cover your head, ears, hands, and feet.
Consume warm, nutritious meals and keep yourself hydrated with warm water. Use
ventilated heaters away from curtains/ furniture, Keep emergency supplies ready, Insulate
doors and windows to reduce heat loss, do not use kerosene stoves, coal/charcoal
angeethis, or LPG burners indoors, they can cause fatal carbon monoxide poisoning, Do not
sleep directly on cold floors, do not ignore symptoms like shivering, confusion, slurred
speech, bluish skin, do not allow children or elderly people to go outdoors
