BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-
A capacity-building seminar for teachers was organised at St. John’s School, Chandigarh. The programme
focused on educating parents about the changing educational landscape and their role in children’s
holistic development. It highlighted the paradigm shift in Indian education through NEP 2020 and NCF
2023, emphasising experiential learning, critical thinking and competency-based education. The seminar
also discussed assessment reforms, PARAKH’s role in standardising assessments and the Holistic
Progress Card, which evaluates students’ cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. It
reinforced the importance of moving beyond rote learning towards holistic and comprehensive
assessment.
