TALK ON ENVIRONMENT AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
The Interact Club of St John’s, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Chandigarh, organised an awareness session on waste management.
The session was conducted by Ms. Smriti Sharma from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority. She highlighted the importance of proper waste disposal and the four dustbin system used in Chandigarh—green for biodegradable, blue for recyclable, red for Sanitary waste and black for E-waste .
This was followed by the installation of Plastic collection bottle to encourage proper disposal and recycling of plastic waste.
The programme was held under the guidance of Ms. Aarti Gupta , the Interact Club Incharge. It was informative and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly practices.
