THEME: Clean Class, Clean India

CLASS & SECTION: KG

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Students will be able to understand the importance of cleanliness and personal responsibility by actively participating in cleaning and organising their classroom.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Kindergarten boys of St. John’s High School participated in a meaningful classroom cleaning activity inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s message of cleanliness. The children enthusiastically took part in cleaning and organising their classroom. They dusted the tables, cleaned their surroundings and helped arrange the classroom neatly. The activity encouraged them to understand that cleanliness is a shared responsibility and that every small effort can contribute towards keeping our surroundings clean. Through this hands-on experience, the young learners were encouraged to practise cleanliness, responsibility, cooperation and self-discipline in their daily lives. The activity beautifully connected Gandhi Ji’s values with the simple habit of keeping their classroom clean, neat and organised. The children participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed taking responsibility for their classroom, making the activity meaningful, engaging and memorable.
