THEME: Visit to Kartar Aasra Old Age Home
Class: 9A
Teacher in-charge: Ms. Aman Lega
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The school organised an outreach visit to Kartar Aasra, Sector 1, Chandigarh, an old age home, where the children had a memorable day with the elderly residents. The visit began with many warm interactions, creating a friendly atmosphere filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful conversations. The students also presented a heartfelt performance of patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of joy, unity, and togetherness among everyone present. The students and adults participated enthusiastically in singing and dancing, making the gathering lively and enjoyable.
The residents also shared their memorable life experiences, stories, and valuable lessons, giving everyone an opportunity to listen, learn, and connect with them. Fresh fruits and milk were distributed to the residents as a small gesture of care and affection. Spending time with them helped us understand the importance of companionship, respect, empathy, and kindness towards the elderly. The visit concluded on a cheerful note, with everyone cherishing the wonderful moments spent together. We learnt that true outreach is not merely about giving material things; it is about giving time, attention, respect, and happiness. The experience left everyone feeling grateful, connected, and inspired to spread kindness and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
